Seriously...I went to use the bathroom at the gym...same one I've been using for 3 years. I go to sit on the john and I get completely disoriented and sort of fall onto the seat.

Ok...that's weird.

When I go to the parking lot to drive off I see the toilet out by the dumpster. So yeah...not disoriented...just accustomed to the old toilet...so much that I don't even use my eyes to judge the distance anymore. I did feel better about almost falling of it though. At least there was something off other than my brain. :)

It really pisses me off when boys go from wanting to be my best friend to barely speaking two words to me when I inevitably run into them. It's both embarrassing and heartbreaking.

Subject:First Encounter

I ran into my ex-fiance for the first time this evening since we broke up on October 4th. I was out at a local bar which I know he frequents, but for some reason, this was the first time I was not on my guard while there. He walked in the door and immediately saw me and approached. I had a few courses of action I could take.

I could
A: play it cool and greet him casually
B: Ignore him
C: Start crying, hug him, grab his hand, start sobbing, ask about the neighbor who's at death's door, sob some more and refuse to get a grip.

I think I'll go with C. Yeah...that definitely seems like the best option here.

Subject:My horoscope today

November 4, 2009

A romantic affair can blossom now but you have to allow it to. You desire and dream of these perfect situations in life but when the opportunity is presented you could be terrified and back away from it. So you must go forward and plough through it like a steamer through ice.

Did I ever!

Subject:A funny piece of news.

Even though I put almost $400 on my credit card to pay for my new glasses, my total debt only increased by $26.40 for the month. Which is rockin. It only set me back by .06% really. So, I'm going to stop worrying about it right now, and remind myself that it won't be so bad if I end up having to put some new tires on my credit card in the near future. Plus, with actual income coming in (wrap your minds around that grammatical gem) I might be able to pay more than the minimum payments again. So hooray for that. In about 3 months I'll be having my 40% paid off party. w00t!

Also, I watched the Bucket List last night and thought that this line was hilarious: "At my age remember these things: Never pass up a bathroom, never waste a hard-on, and never trust a fart." >_< haha.

Subject:Spring Chicken No Longer Applies

I am officially no longer "young." I have hangovers...readily...and they last all day and cause me to call out of work...and then I remember that a big storm is coming and I probably won't be able to go to work tomorrow either. Really fucked that one up. But yeah. I need to cut down on the drinking. My body is NOT a fan. This is not being helped by my new glasses. The astigmatism prescription changed drastically, and I have been feeling wonky and headachey all day.

Also, I went surfing yesterday and finally stood up on the board after 2 years! Hurray for that!

Subject:Broke Down

I decided to finally make an eye appointment. I have been putting it off for a year maybe. But lately I have been getting headaches and I notice that I scrunch up my face to hold my heavy frames up on my nose. They are the plastic kind that don't have the little wiggly nose pads. Also, the lenses are all scratched up from an ill fated visit to the beach. Apparently sand + non-reflective coating is NOT a good combination.

Yesterday, I had a weird eye attack where my vision went all blurry in the peripheral of my left eye. It was like a combination of the heat waves you see rising off the asphalt and the afterimage burned into your eye when you stare at a camera flash going off. It stayed like this for about 20 minutes and didn't even go away when I sat in near complete darkness for 5 minutes. Thinking it might be a blood pressure issue, I took an ibuprofen and eventually I found relief. But for a minute, I started to get scared that I was having a stroke or something.

So that will set me back about $300. I think I may have to put this on my credit card. That will be the first time I have used it in YEARS. But I can't really wait for my paychecks to start rolling in. This is getting out of hand.

Subject:Project back to the gym DAY 1

After a 3 month hiatus, I am trying to get back onto my hardcore workout schedule.

Today was my first day. I am down at least 10 pounds on all exercises. I think I have gained 10 pounds in weight. But it sure felt good to be back.

I have paid off 37.81% of my total debt. This includes: car, credit card, and school loans. I have paid off $16,000 to date, not including interest. That is freakin insanity.

Subject:I have been having adventures.
Mood: sleepy

I did a photoshoot with Lindsay, i.e. Evil Capitalist (to be posted soon), visited with my dad in Orlando with his girlfriend and quasi-step-granddaughter. We took the barely two year old to a breakfast where the Disney characters wander around and sign autographs/take photos with you/scare the living daylights out of you. She was a little traumatized, but not too badly. I also met up with my cousin who is in town visiting her boyfriend. He's doing a medical residency in Orlando for the next 3 years, so maybe I'll be seeing a lot more of her.

Also, I'm struggling through the process of collecting unemployment. Apparently, using their "convenient online service" really just wastes a day all by itself. But I guess they want you to work for that money. I'm just glad I'm not doing this at a place where I'd have to pay for internet use by the minute. Their website is soooooo slow. I hate that I'm even doing this. I'm just scared that I'm going to run out of money. Usually I work for my main job 2-3 days a week all summer and I'm down to one day per week. My graduation photo job usually calls me up right around now and has a grad or two for me to shoot, but I have heard nothing. The gym usually schedules me for both weekend days every week, but lately they just have me down for one. Guh. So I have 3 jobs, yet I work 2 days a week. And the unemployment office wants me to go apply for more jobs! O_o Which I understand, but in my situation it is funny because no one has actually fired me. They just don't have enough work for me to pay the bills.

At least all this being busy has snapped me right back into living in the present. I had been stuck in the past for almost a week. I came home so refreshed last night and was all excited to have some wine, but the wine we had (which is usually awesome) apparently was botched somehow. It was the most sour, tingly feeling not at all wine that I have ever had. And my boyfriend home brews so that happens more than you might think. I couldn't drink it. So I opened a bottle of blackberry wine that someone had brought to the party and that tasted of Robutussin. Mike wouldn't let me open a third bottle, so I had to drink cranberry juice with rum and ginger ale. I asked why he wouldn't make it with vodka...but apparently he felt rum was the thing. I went to bed sober. And he beat me at RISK.

But it was still an OK night. But some decent wine would have made it better.

My goal was to highlight facial structure. I'm not entirely satisfied with the results, though I do like the light around the jawline on the left side.

Subject:Random happy update.

So I just ordered the Digital Rebel XTi. Should be getting here Monday or so. I hope to start a little travelling portrait gig this summer, finally putting my light kit to use.

I have now been working out steadily for 9 months. I can do 2 consecutive chin ups and 3 push ups right now...more than the zero I have been able to do for all of my life. I am steadily rocking 130 pounds, 10 pounds off of my sustained weight since 7th grade. I am down about 1-2 pant sizes...a 7 or 9 as opposed to an 11. I feel that a visible six pack is only about 3 months away. My workout goals are said visible six pack...and to do one wide grip chin-up with no assistance. Right now I can do about 5 if I take 50 pounds off my weight using a pull-up assist machine. Very awesome I tell you.

Also...I have been dating my current guy for about 9 months as well...and things are awesome. We have had no major fights or issues, and we have been making very mature decisions (as in not trying to live together with his best friend in the house just because rent would be easier to pay). He has his little house and I have mine. Funny that it works out that way. I went up with him to Wallops Island Virginia last week to launch off his rocket that he designed and built with the rocket club at Embry Riddle.
